At a recent workday, the Friends tackled the many leaves in the park with the help of Grace, who came along with her mum to lend a hand. Here’s Grace’s update on the day:
I helped out at the park on Saturday 20th November 2021. I raked up lots of leaves. They were beautiful and were of many different colours like red, brown, green and yellow. One of the Friends Heaton Moor Park of who organised the day told me it good for the grass not to let leaves build up too much. It felt good to help in my local park where I spend so much time. I really enjoyed getting out in the fresh air and even got a mince pie at the end!!
