Picnic benches now installed
Two benches have been purchased and are now installed. Installation took place the week of 17 January 2022.
Funding for these picnic benches was largely from fundraising events and LocalGiving donations since March 2021. We particularly appreciate the £500 donations from Joules Estate Agency. These benches will be all the more appreciated once warm weather returns!.
Netball area neatened up!
In addition, the retaining wall around the netball area (see photo above for the ‘after’ view) . Luckily, neither Omicron or the January downpours caused delay!
Tennis Court – making progress…
In December 2021, what the tarmac subsurface was laid and some temporary markings painted. The net was installed in late January. The council identified some issues with overhanging trees, which were scheduled to be sorted in February 2022, with the finishing touches to the surface to be completed in March 2022.
We appreciate the council’s work with the LTA to secure funding for these improvements.
