The Friends of Heaton Moor Park are thrilled to announce there is now a defibrillator in the park.
Fund-raising at the Easter Egg Hunt was followed by some electrical engineering by the council over the summer and then the actual installation by the supplier in September. It is located at the front of the Park Pavilion (corner of Peel Moat and Buckingham Road).
The Defibrillator is suitable for both children and adults and is available 24 hours a day. The device has been registered on ‘the Circuit’ and therefore is visible to the Northwest ambulance service. Once at the site, call 999 and be ready to give the box number. The 999 handler will give out the code to unlock the box and gain access.
